Basketball: Parking spaces for patrons with mobility/accessibility impairments are located in the CARSA parkade lower level.
Stadium: Parking spaces for patrons with mobility/accessibility impairments are located near the flag pole side of the stadium in parking lot 4.
Fields: Parking spaces for patrons with mobility/accessibility impairments are located near field entrances in parking lots 2, 3, 4, 7a and 7.
The current parking charge for events is $1.50/hour to a maximum of $8.00/day.Parking after 6pm is a flat rate of $3.00.Current rates can be found here.
CARSA: has dedicated accessible seating areas available for guests. Accessible seating is located at various vantage points in the arena for both basketball games and events. Companion tickets are available for sale adjacent to the accessible seating areas.
Centennial Stadium: has dedicated accessible seating areas available for guests with disabilities who require assistance. Accessible seating is located at the top of each access area in the covered grandstand for soccer and rugby games and events. Event viewing is also available at the track level.
Guests can contact Membership Services at 250-472-4000 for information regarding the availability of accessible seating. Please inform your ticket seller of any special needs you may have that require accommodation when purchasing your ticket.
Concessions: Our main CARSA concession stand, Time Out, and our concession kiosk are at a height which allow for wheelchair access.
Entrances and Elevators: All entrances at CARSA are accessible, however, the most convenient entrance for guests using a wheelchair is our drop off and pick up area by the main entrance to CARSA on Gabriola Road.Entrances to our stadium and fields are also wheelchair accessible.
Facilities: All washrooms in CARSA and Centennial Stadium are wheelchair accessible.
Any questions regarding accessibility at CARSA can be answered by the Membership Services desk or 250-472-4000.
(Basketball and select field events)
Guests 19 years of age or older may purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages and must keep the provided wristband visible while enjoying alcoholic beverages. Two pieces of government issued ID must be presented to receive a wristband.Anyone under the legal drinking age of 19 years who is observed to be consuming alcohol on the premises may be asked to leave the event without refund privileges.
Event staff will serve a maximum of two (2) alcoholic beverages to a guest at one time. Our Event staff are trained in responsible beverage service and will refuse service to any guests who appear intoxicated.Outside alcoholic beverages of any kind are not permitted in the Vikes facilities.For UVic Vikes basketball games, alcohol sales within the gymnasium will conclude at the start of the third quarter.
Guide, sign and signal dogs for persons with disabilities are allowed in CARSA. All other animals are prohibited in our facilities and on our fields. If attending an event with a service animal, please notify our ticket staff at the time of purchase if a special seat is required.
During events at Wallace Field leashed dogs are permitted inside the fenced area.Owners must control their dogs, pick up after them and keep them off the playing surface.Dogs affecting the safety and enjoyment of the event will be required to leave the venue.
ANNOUNCMENTS (BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARIES)
We will be happy to announce birthdays or anniversaries at UVic Vikes home games. Requests must be placed at least forty eighty (48) hours prior to each game. Please email our Vikes Event Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org to submit your request.
The one ATM machine in CARSA, is located next to the Half Time Café in the main lobby area.
Balls and other objects will sometimes leave the court/field and land in the seating area of the gym or field. Please be alert and follow the play. If you require assistance, please ask the nearest staff member (identified by a name tag or red Event Staff t-shirt).
BABY CHANGING STATION
We offer a total of 5 baby changing stations that can be found in various washrooms throughout CARSA. Both washrooms in the main lobby have change tables, and the event washrooms on concourse level each contain change tables. Our Blue and Gold suite washroom also contains a change table. Baby change stations are also available at the washrooms in Centennial Stadium and our CARSA exterior building washrooms adjacent to the artificial turf Fields 2A & 2B.
BANNERS, FLAGS & SIGNS
Banners, flags and signs are permitted at games and events provided they are no larger than 24″ x 24″ and do not interfere with the event or other guests’ enjoyment of the event. Please refer to our Code of Conduct guidelines for appropriate messaging.Banners, flags and signs cannot be affixed to any part of the facility. Poles, sticks or any other object to display banners, flags or signs are not permitted.
Please use the bicycle racks outside McKinnon Building across the street from CARSA, the bike racks on the street level of the McKenzie Parkade or the bike racks between Fields 2A and 2B and CARSA to secure your bicycle. Bicycles are not permitted inside our buildings or fenced field areas. Bicycles may be chained up along the exterior fencing of the stadium provided they are not attached to any moving panels/doors.
Drones, digital SLR cameras and any professional or commercial video or photography equipment are prohibited inside Vikes events without approved Vikes media accreditation. Personal use point and shoot cameras are allowed; however, no flash photography is permitted once the game has started. For the safety of our athletes and officials, only media and official Vikes photographers are permitted to access the floor and use professional cameras inside the venue. Applications for media accreditation will be accepted up to two business days prior to an event. Cellular phones are permitted in Vikes event facilities, provided they do not interfere with other patron’s enjoyment of the event.
Children aged two and under do not require a ticket to Vikes events. For information regarding age policy for specific events, please call the Membership Services Desk at 250-472-4000.Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a guardian 16 years of age or older.
During Vikes events at the CARSA Performance Gym and Centennial Stadium concession services will be open. Our concessions offer a variety of hot and cold food and beverages.Proceeds from concession sales support Vikes athletics programs.
From Vancouver by Ferry: As you exit the ferry terminal, you will be traveling on the Pat Bay Highway (Highway 17) towards the city of Victoria. The drive to UVic should take about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic. After about 10-15 minutes on the Pat Bay highway, you will pass Elk and Beaver Lakes on your right. About 5 minutes further along, you will come to the University of Victoria/ McKenzie Avenue exit. Stay in the right lane to access the off-ramp; then keep to the left-hand side of the exit lane. Turn left onto McKenzie Avenue. Once on McKenzie Ave, you will go through seven traffic lights. The last one is the intersection of McKenzie and Gordon Head Road.
Basketball: Go through the traffic light, past Centennial Stadium. Parking is available in Lot 4 (by turning right onto McGill Rd), Lots 3 and McKenzie Avenue Parkade (by turning right onto Vikes Way), and in Lot 2 (by turning right onto Gabriola Rd)
Centennial Stadium: Go through the intersection of McKenzie and Gordon Head Road, take your first right (before the stadium). The parking lot # 4 entrance is half way down the road, on your left hand side.FIELDS Go through the intersection of McKenzie and Gordon Head Road, then locate the parking area closest to your field of play. https://www.uvic.ca/security/parking/map
From Victoria International Airport: The Victoria International Airport is located along Highway 17, about 30-40 minutes north of the university. For more information about flights, transport options, and services, visit the Victoria International Airport website. When leaving the airport, follow the signs to Victoria. Just outside the airport, you will turn onto Highway 17. From there, follow the directions above to the UVic campus.
Basketball games – doors are open one hour prior to the start of the game.Field sports – doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the game.

There is one elevator connecting the CARSA parkade with street level, the CARSA Performance Gym and the Vikes Blue and Gold Room.
Guests entering the CARSA Performance Gym are asked be mindful of the restricted items policies.Items that are not permitted inside the venue may be checked in at Membership Services (when appropriate).Bag checks will be conducted intermittently throughout season.

During basketball games family seating is located in Section C; this is also our alcohol free section.

Guest courtesy is an important element of everyone’s enjoyment at any game or event. We ask that all guests adhere to the Vikes Code of Conduct. We are committed to providing a family-oriented, enjoyable and safe experience for everyone visiting our facility.
UVic, Canada West Sports and USPORTS encourage and promote good sportsmanship by students, athletes, coaches and spectators.We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner.Intoxication, profanity, derogatory comments, or any other intimidating remarks will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of event or competition.
Please note the following are not permitted inside the CARSA Performance Gym:
- air horns
- animals (except guide animals)
- basketballs, skateboards, bicycles
- glass containers
- outside food & beverages
- signs larger than 24” x 24”
- smoking of any substance
- professional digital SLR cameras (See Cameras for full policy)
Items can be checked in for safe keeping at the Membership Services desk (when appropriate).Thank you for your support and cooperation.
The First Aid Station is located by the CARSA equipment desk, please see the Membership Services Desk for access. Emergency medical services attendants are available at all events. If you are in need of medication attention, please notify a Vikes employee immediately.
Patrons with food allergies or medical conditions which require them to bring specific types of food and/or beverage into events should contact Membership Services at 250-472-4000 to inquire about exceptions to the outside food and beverage policy.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the CARSA Performance Gym.Concession stands located on the concourse level of the gymnasium provide a variety of food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) items.Fans are permitted to bring outside food and beverages into most field sport events with the exception of our Thunderfest soccer game and national championship games.

LOST AND FOUND
Please take items found before, during or after an event to the Membership Services desk located in the main lobby and accessed from the Walk of Excellence. Lost and found items are kept for thirty (30) days and then either disposed of or donated to an appropriate charity. To enquire about lost items please call Membership Services at 250-472-4000.
LOST OR STOLEN TICKETS
Please contact the Membership Services at 250-472-4000 for information regarding lost or stolen tickets. Tickets (thermal, e-ticket or mobile) will only permit entry once.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES DESK
The CARSA Membership Services desk is located in the main entrance of the building and can be accessed via our Walk of Excellence from the concourse level.The CARSA Membership Services Desk is open during building hours 7 days a week. CARSA hours of operation can be found here.Please call 250-472-4000 to speak with a customer service representative. Membership Services can assist you with lost persons, seating issues and general questions. Our Membership Services hosts are available from the building’s opening until one-half hour after the conclusion of an event.
Campus parking facilities are managed by the University of Victoria’s Campus Security department. Parking rates are $1.50/hour to a maximum of $8.00/day, with a $3.00 flat rate after 6pm. Spaces are available on a first come first served basis, please input your license plate to begin your parking transaction. A campus parking map can be found here.
Exit and re-entry are permitted during Vikes events. Please identify yourself to the Guest Services staff at the entrance when exiting and retain your ticket for access back into the facility.
To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void or other invalid tickets, Vikes Athletics and Recreation and the University of Victoria strongly requests all customers purchase their tickets from Membership Services or online at govikesgo.com/tickets.Resale of Vikes or other event tickets are not permitted on university property.
All guests are required to sit in the assigned seats as indicated on their valid event ticket.During Vikes basketball games blue and floor seats are assigned seating areas and yellow seats are general admission areas.If you have an issue with your seat please inform any of our Guest Services staff for assistance.Seating at field sport venues is available on a first-come first served basis, all Vikes field events are general admission.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vape cigarettes) is prohibited inside Vikes fields and facilities and violators will be asked to leave the venue. Smoking on campus is only permitted in the designated areas outside Ring Road as noted here. The closest designated area is on Gabriola Road towards Ring Road, outside the Continuing Studies building.
Due to the narrow concourse walkway in CARSA we request that strollers checked be in at the Membership Services Desk.Strollers are permitted inside Vikes Fields, please ensure that other guests can access seating areas.
Free student, faculty and staff tickets are available to each Vikes regular season home game, space permitting.The CARSA Performance Gym SPIRIT SECTION is reserved for UVic Students.Exclusive prizing and offers are available to UVic Students sitting in this section.

Field hockey game day tickets are available for purchase at Membership Services inside the CARSA main lobby (adjacent to the Field Hockey pitch – Field #1).
UVIC STUDENTS, FACULTY/STAFF, VIKES COMMUNITY RECREATION MEMBERS
Admission to regular season Vikes games is included in the Vikes Recreation fee paid by all full-time students, full-time continuing faculty/staff, UVic retirees and Vikes Community Recreation Members.International students receive the “Other Student” rate posted at govikesgo.com/tickets.
Vikes Athletics and Recreation is proud to support sport development in the community!If your team/youth athlete would like to sign up to help retrieve out of bounds balls at soccer games or keep the court safe during basketball games please contact the Vikes Event Assistant at email@example.com to reserve a game.Ball/mop kids receive complimentary access to the game, a chance to meet the teams, as well as a drink and snack at halftime from our concession.
Will Call, for pick-up of pre-paid tickets, is located at the Membership and Guest Services desk in the main lobby of CARSA.
